This version of Microsoft Launcher has been rebuilt on a new codebase to allow for new features, such as dark mode and personalized news. This means that the app has been redesigned and improved to provide a better user experience.

One of the customizable features of Microsoft Launcher is the ability to change the icons on your phone. This allows you to give your phone a consistent look and feel by using custom icon packs or adaptive icons.

In addition to customizable icons, Microsoft Launcher also offers a variety of beautiful wallpapers. You can choose to have a new image from Bing as your wallpaper every day, or you can use your own photos.

The new dark theme feature of Microsoft Launcher allows for comfortable use of your phone at night or in low light environments. This feature is compatible with Android's dark mode settings, making it easy to switch between light and dark themes.

With the Backup and Restore feature, you can easily transfer your Home Screen setups between phones or create backups for safekeeping. These backups can be stored locally or saved to the cloud for easy transfers.

Microsoft Launcher also offers a variety of gestures to make navigating your phone easier. You can swipe, pinch, double tap, and more on the home screen to quickly access different features. The app may ask for optional permissions, such as Accessibility Service Permission, to enable certain gestures like screen lock and recent apps view.

When downloading Microsoft Launcher, the app may ask for optional permissions, such as microphone, photo and video, notifications, contacts, location, phone, camera, and calendar. These permissions are used for various features, such as speech-to-text functionality, wallpaper and search options, and calendar information. However, you can still use the app even if you do not consent to these permissions, but some functions may be restricted.

By installing Microsoft Launcher, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. This app gives you the option to replace your default launcher or toggle between device launchers. It does not replicate your PC home screen on your Android phone, and you will still need to purchase and/or download any new apps from Google Play. Microsoft Launcher requires Android 7.0 or higher to run.
